We are so pleased to announce that our own SPLASH represented Gulf Coast Doberman Rescue and the doberman breed in the Louisiana Kennel Club Dog show at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner this past weekend. For the last 8 years The Kennel Club has taken a moment to showcase rescue dogs ...from various breeds. Splash an...d her happy mother were certainly proof that wonderful dogs are available for adoption. Here's what the announcer at the show had to say about Splash as she proudly walked with her mom around the show ring: Representing Gulf Coast Doberman Rescue is "SPLASH". Splash is a 4 year old female Doberman who was given up by her original family because she had become an inconvenience to their travel plans. Before entering rescue, Splash lived in an outside kennel. Splash is aptly named for her insatiable passion for diving and swimming in the family pool. When she's not in the pool..., she can usually be found curled up on the sofa with her family. Splash has earned a CGC certification and she is wearing her Merit Award recently issued to her by the Victims and Citizens Against Crime for her role in the arrest of 3 criminals who were breaking into automobiles in her neighborhood. Splash is fearless, watchful, reliable, intelligent, loyal, loving, and beautiful. She is truly the embodiment of the wonderful Doberman Breed and much loved by her family. From Splash's Mom Lynne |
