"Beanie"
Little Beanie is approximately 14 weeks old. She is a LABerman. More Lab than Dobe. She loves loves loves water. She came to us from the shelter. She was so tiny when she found herself at the shelter and she was very ill for a while. Shelter workers kept her in their offices by day and took her home with them at night. Beanie is now healthy and feeling great. She often soaks herself up to her nose in the big dog's water bowl. She's a dog's dog! She is learning that peole can be fun too but really this little girl lives to play with other dogs. We are asking for potential adopters to understand that we want to make Beanie very happy in her new home and have promised her a home with at least one other dog to play with. Beanie is young enough that she could easily also live with a kitty. If you are interested in possibly adopting Beanie - please fill out an on-line application. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and microchipped. She already walks on a leash and sleeps well in her crate at night.

"Ari"
Ari is ready to roll. He is three months old and has everything anyone could possibly want in a puppy. He is full of energy and very sure of himself. He meets new situations with confidence and determination. He is rapidly figuring out house manners. He is crate trained and good with other dogs. He has not been tested with cats but, due to his age he would probably be OK with them. Ari would be good in any home that wants an active fun loving dog. He is alert, runs the perimeter of his yard -- he is aware of everything that is going on around him. He is large and in charge, with big clown shoe feet. He is very handsome and downright charming. He loves to play fetch and would love to meet you.

"Indy"
Indy is a five month old dobie pup who was surrendered to us at about 10 weeks of age. Indy suffered a spinal cord injury either at birth or shortly thereafter. She came in completely unable to walk on her rear legs. We've been working with her and she has gained enough regeneration that she can now walk for a short while each day (although not perfectly). We are seeking assistance from Dag's House and have purchased a wheel chair which is being shipped. Our plan is to provide Indy with a wheel chair so she can enjoy life more fully but also still require her to exercise and walk without the chair to strengthen her little body and legs. Indy will eventually be available for adoption as a special needs pet - but for now, she will remain in our care while we work with her to achieve optimum improvement. Please watch for updates for our little Indy!

Meet the puppies!

One night, a beautiful red dober-girl (who we named Mia) was dropped off at a shelter in the middle of the night. Mia was VERY pregnant, and luckily GCDR was able to get her out of the shelter and into a foster home! Mia gave birth to 12 healthy puppies just a week later on April 23rd, and now both mom and puppies are looking for their forever homes. While mom is a pure doberman, she won't tell us exactly what dad is. We are guessing he might be a hound/lab mix of some sort - all we know is that he made some gorgeous puppies!

We are starting to take applications now for the puppies, who will be ready for adoption once they are 8 weeks old. There are 4 boys and 8 girls in our "Harry Potter Dozen".

Fleur - Our beautiful flower Fleur is dainty with a sparkling personality. She is extremely outgoing with people and warms up to new dogs fairly quickly as well. Her tail is always wagging and you can't help but smile when you see her.

Ginny - Ginny is another of the larger female puppies, and looks almost identical to Ron. She is very curious and loves to explore, but also enjoys a good nap.

Hermione - Hermione is also a stand-out in this litter with her flashy white legs! She is the largest female in the litter, and is also one of the boldest puppies. She is fearless and outgoing, and loves to boss the other puppies around. She is very curious and daring, and will likely grow into a confident, dominant girl.

Luna - Luna is a special girl with a star on her head! She is not too timid, not too bold - she is just right in all aspects of her personality! She is sweet and strong at the same time, and loves to explore new places.

Remus - Remus is the smallest boy with the biggest personality! He is spunky and fearless, and loves causing trouble with his sisters. He is outgoing and curious and will likely blossom into a fun little boy.

Ron - Ron is the largest male, and has cute white feet and a white-tipped tail. He will likely grow into a large dog, and is very hound-looking. He is very rambunctious with the other puppies, but is very docile around people. Ron's favorite activities are eating and napping!

Harry - Harry is a very special boy and really stands out in a crowd! He is the only blue puppy in the litter, and we think he's just adorable. Harry is one of the larger puppies in the litter, but is a very mellow, laid back boy. He loves snuggling with his brothers and sisters, but also enjoys cuddling with people and will fall asleep in your lap.
